A much-needed upgrade to a 1950s school called for practical, modern updates to hallways, common areas, and entryways.

Time shifts.

Navigating the needs and demands of the school board and budget presented challenges that required thoughtful, thorough planning. Original designs were rethought after the budget was cut by nearly half.

A new pace.

Over 40 years since the last update, the building was in desperate need of modernizations to support the demands of staff and students. The entryway was reorganized, allowing for both more accessibility and security in relation to the front office. Classrooms opened to primary hallways via windows to encourage more connection and natural light throughout. The simple and focused renovation, which updated only a portion of the 30,000-square-foot school, was enough to provide a contemporary look that reenergized the entire student and faculty bodies.
