The project consisted of renovations to the Kitchen, Master Bathroom, Laundry, and Dining Room of an existing Acorn Deck house. The mid-century style and clean lines of the house, as well as the client’s vast collection of art, really drove the design forward.
A primary goal of the project was to open up the Kitchen, Entry, and Dining room to flow seamlessly between spaces. An existing wall of cabinets was removed in the Kitchen and replaced with two larger openings on axis with the primary circulation through the house. The open airy feel of the newly remodeled kitchen pairs well with the sleek clean lines of the cabinets. The minimal pallet of cool grays and whites is brought to life with the warm wood tones of the new custom bar and mahogany paneling made from repurposed trim and casework.
